Flag raising begins month of reflection

The Brock community gathered to raise the Every Child Matters flag on Sept. 1. Flying on campus throughout September, the flag honours Indigenous children who were forced to attend residential schools and the resilience of Indigenous communities. Interim Vice-Provost, Indigenous Engagement Shelia Cote-Meek (left) and President and Vice-Chancellor Lesley Rigg raised the flag, beginning a series of events focused on remembrance, reflection and reconciliation ahead of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Sept. 30. More information about the events happening throughout September is available on ExperienceBU.
