The Brock women’s volleyball team welcomed Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Jasmine Jasudavicius to campus on Thursday, Feb. 20, for a motivational talk. Jasudavicius, a St. Catharines native and the No. 9 ranked flyweight fighter in the world, recently set a record for the largest total strike differential in a UFC women’s bout and made history as the first woman to win a UFC card in Saudi Arabia. She shared her journey to success, discussing the discipline and training required to balance mental and physical health while overcoming adversity. Her message resonated with the team as they prepare for their upcoming playoff campaign, which starts when the defending Ontario University Athletics champions host the Nipissing Lakers at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21.
