Exploring the importance of recreation

Brock Recreation and Leisure (RECL) students shared projects exploring recreation’s role in health and well-being at the RECL Research Symposium on April 7. The event welcomed community members to campus to learn more about the impact and benefits of recreation. Therapeutic Recreation student Emma Sluggett (centre), whose work focused on social isolation among older adults, was joined at the event by her parents, Michael Sluggett (right) and Alicia Sluggett (RECL '97), a Brock RECL graduate.
