Brock University's ESL Services hosted its End of Term Showcase Tuesday, Dec. 10, which highlights the progress and success of their students each semester. All students enrolled in Brock’s Intensive English Language Programming (IELP) classes prepare for weeks by working on in-class projects to demonstrate their new English language skills. Projects range from TED Talks to Shark-Tank-style business presentations, ad campaigns and more. Yume Murano, Sue (Subin) Lim and Rei Sakane presented their board game, a spinoff of Monopoly, to demonstrate the progress they made this semester as Level 3 students. Attendees were able to vote for their favourite presentations, with an award ceremony taking place afterwards at Pond Inlet to crown this semester’s best work.
