Hockey-playing brothers Dougie (#25) and Freddie Hamilton (#27), who normally play with the Calgary Flames, had their work cut out when they joined athletes from the Brock Niagara Penguins for a sledge hockey game. The NHL stars, both of whom played junior with the Niagara Ice Dogs, dropped in last week after Dougie made the Brock Niagara Penguins his charity of choice, donating $2,000 that was raised at the recent NHL Players Association golf tournament. For more than a decade, Brock Niagara Penguins — which is supported by Brock University’s Faculty of Applied Health Sciences and Department of Recreation Services — has been providing swimming, wheelchair basketball, boccia and other healthy activities for youth and adults with a physical disability.
