A recent donation to Brock University Library Archives and Special Collections is said to be the weight of two gentoo penguins — a fitting comparison for a fine photography book titled ANTARCTICA. The 12.5-kilogram book was donated by Canadian professional photographers Pat and Rosemarie Keough, who authored, photographed, designed and published it. While many copies of the book have been sold outside of Canada, including aboard a Lindblad Expedition cruise ship for US$5,000, few are available in Canada. The couple donated a numbered copy (#775/950) of the 336-page book to Brock so it could be viewed and studied. Photographic interests include polar studies, earth science, climate change, exploration, biology, environmental studies, frozen architecture and archaeology, and history of whaling.
