In honour of International Women’s Day, Brock University community members poured in for a screening of the award-winning documentary What Ales Us? by Professor of Kinesiology Cathy van Ingen (right) on Friday, March 7. Following the screening, van Ingen was joined by Ren Navarro (centre), owner and creator of B. Diversity Group, and Erin Brandson (second from right) for a panel discussion on sexual harassment, gender-based abuse and racism in Canada’s brewing industry. Katie Keays, Manager of Gender and Sexual Violence Intake in the Office of Human Rights and Equity (left) and Interdisciplinary Humanities PhD candidate Grace Channer (second from left) moderated the panel. The event was co-sponsored by the President's Advisory Committee on Equity, Human Rights and Decolonization (PACHRED), the Sexual Violence Prevention Committee, the Centre for Women's and Gender Studies, the Student Justice Centre, and the Office of Human Rights and Equity.
