Dozens of members of the Brock community gathered in Weather Station Field Wednesday, May 22 to participate in the grand opening of the Brock University Labyrinth. After speeches about the significance of the labyrinth to Indigenous communities and in Classics studies, attendees participated in the inaugural walkthrough while listening to drumming and singing from the Strong Water Women of the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre. The labyrinth is an inclusive space that encourages participants from all communities to walk mindfully, uninterrupted by obstacles, while moving on a singular pathway that spirals to the centre and then returns to the beginning.
