At a series usually reserved for external speakers, Brock University President Gervan Fearon spoke to guests at Diaspora Social and Institutional Capital: Bridging the Divide at Pond Inlet Wednesday, Oct. 23. The event, hosted by the Faculties of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, saw Fearon examine diasporic populations and differential social – institutional capital within the Canadian setting and the potential role of universities in institutional capacity building.
