Brock University Nursing students held their annual Coffee Break event in Market Hall on Friday, Nov. 16 to raise funds for the Alzheimer Society of Niagara. From left, second-year Nursing student Nadia Potapov, Brock alumna Stephanie Blais (BScN ’18), second-year Nursing student Marijana Loncar and first-year Nursing student Grace Skeffington helped to man the coffee station. “I am so thankful to the Brock community for coming out and meeting with current Nursing students to talk about this important health issue,” Potapov said, the lead organizer of this year’s event. “The event was a complete success and together we raised $636 to help support local programs and services and find better ways to manage Alzheimer’s.” Coffee Break is a nationwide annual fundraiser where friends, co-workers and customers gather in communities across Canada to raise funds for their local Alzheimer Society chapter.
