Jane Helleiner (Faculty of Social Sciences) and Susan Tilley (Faculty of Education) received praise and recognition for their recently published books at a book launch event held Tuesday, Sept. 27 in the Welch Hall Atrium at Brock University. Both Helleiner and Tilley spoke about what inspired their research, their processes and interesting findings. “Borderline Canadianness: Border Crossings and Everyday Nationalism in Niagara” (Helleiner, 2016, University of Toronto Press) and “Doing Respectful Research: Power, Privilege and Passion” (Tilley, 2016, Fernwood Publishing) are both relevant to faculty and students engaged in social justice work across numerous disciplines.
