Campus community stocks students’ pantries

The Brock University Students’ Union (BUSU), Graduate Students' Association (GSA), Brock International and Brock Student Life and Success teamed up in support of students experiencing food insecurity at the Food First Pop-Up Pantry on June 26. The event, which took place at the Brock International Centre, allowed 64 students currently enrolled in summer courses to stock their shelves with free non-perishable food items. A partnership between BUSU, the GSA and Brock University, the year-round Food First program supports Brock students experiencing food insecurity by providing grocery store gift cards as well as connections to community resources.
