Fourth-year Recreation and Leisure Studies students Samantha Gregorio (left) and Mandisa Lau (right) were honoured at this year's Parks and Recreation Ontario conference for their passion and dedication to community recreation. Gregorio received the Bob Secord Student Leadership award, presented to a student who demonstrates positive attributes and leadership skills in the parks and recreation sector through their academic, employment and voluntary pursuits. Lau received the Hugh Clydesdale Bursary. Funded by the City of Toronto: Parks, Forestry and Recreation Division, the bursary is granted to a promising female parks and recreation student in Ontario to pursue professional development or education.
