Encryption, quantum physics and the Enigma machine were the focus of “Beyond the Imitation Game,” a community event hosted by Brock University's Faculty of Mathematics and Science on Friday, Jan. 26 at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre. Guest speaker Thomas Jennewein (right), an Associate Professor in the University of Waterloo’s Institute for Quantum Computing and Department of Physics and Astronomy, enlisted the assistance of young attendee Xavier in demonstrating how polarizing filters work during the event.
