Technical tests took place Thursday, April 4 outside of Brock's Rankin Family Pavilion as faculty and staff prepare to welcome thousands of people to campus on Monday, April 8 to witness the total solar eclipse. The University's Eclipse on the Escarpment event, which begins at noon, will feature more than a dozen educational exhibits and a community viewing of the astronomical phenomenon starting around 2 p.m. The eclipse will be livestreamed via the BrockTV and Brock University YouTube channels. Equipment being used for the livestream, as well as to conduct scientific observations, include a digital smart telescope, a scientific weather station and a infrared thermal imaging camera.
