The Brock community helped to fight period poverty by donating menstrual products at collection points across campus this spring in support of United Way Niagara’s Period Promise campaign. Brock United Way Campaign Committee members organized the initiative with the help of student volunteers. Syerra Jasmin, second-year Consecutive Teacher Education student and Youth University Camp Co-ordinator; Michelle Leone, Brock Recreation Program Manager; Montana Nethercott, fifth-year Concurrent Teacher Education student and Brock Sports Camp Co-ordinator; and Tarryn Landman, Faculty of Education Marketing and Communications Officer, collected and packed donations from the Brock community at the end of the campaign on May 6.
