Students on this year’s London Field Trip course (GEOG/TOUR 3P54) spent an intense eight days living in and learning about the U.K. capital. Led by Professor Phillip Mackintosh from Brock's Department of Geography and Tourism Studies, students visited a few of London’s iconic destinations, including Buckingham Palace, but also explored some lesser-known neighbourhoods. The half-credit course touches on themes of urban, cultural, historical and transportation geographies, including the city’s public and private spaces, political economy and urban planning. Mackintosh was aided by teaching assistant and current master’s student Janine Lagundzin (BA '22).
