April-Dawn Blackwell, Brock University’s Associate Vice-President, Professional and Continuing Studies, looks over the presentation she delivered Thursday, Oct. 28 at the virtual annual general meeting and professional development retreat for the Ontario Council for University Lifelong Learning (OCULL). The theme of the professional development retreat was Focus on the Future: Meeting Worker and Workplace Needs, and Blackwell led two sessions. The first, co-facilitated with Lena Patterson, Program Director, Business Development and Microcredentials for Ryerson’s G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education, was about the growing importance and value of continuing education and lifelong learning. The second discussed quality markers through the lenses of equity, diversity and inclusion, and various stakeholders such as learners, learning leaders, employers, industry and other key stakeholders.
