The annual Affiliates Day event for teacher candidates took place earlier this month at Brock University's Hamilton campus. The event provides students with the opportunity to hear presentations from Ontario's four teachers' federations and participate in professional development workshops. Affiliates Day is organized by the Teacher Education Liaison Committee, a committee with membership from the affiliate members of the Ontario Teachers' Federation and Brock's Faculty of Education which includes, from left to right, Allison Pressnail, Amy Barrett and Ivy Allen as student representatives. Second-year teacher candidates are about to begin their final placements before finishing their programs.
