More than 30 community members turned up at dusk on Monday, May 12 to observe chimney swifts descending into the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts' chimney in downtown St. Catharines. The Swifts at Sunset event, hosted by Brock’s Environmental Sustainability Research Centre and Niagara College Sustainability in celebration of UNESCO’s World Migratory Bird Day, also featured a talk by Professor of Biological Sciences Liette Vasseur, UNESCO Chair in Community Sustainability.
