Professor of Biological Sciences Miriam Richards (far left), a renowned bee expert who heads up the Brock Bee Lab, spoke with faculty, students and staff as they planted a pollinator garden on Friday, Sept. 19. Pollinator gardens provide food and shelter to bees, who play a pivotal role in plant biodiversity by gathering and depositing pollen from plant to plant. Brock is applying to be designated a Bee Community by Bee City Canada.
