Fourth-year Public Health student Asiya Noori and third-year Public Health student Mona Ghosh were at a booth in front of Sean O'Sullivan Theatre Wednesday, March 21 as part of 1Day Stand, an initiative between Leave The Pack Behind and Public Health encouraging post-secondary campuses across Ontario to go tobacco free. 1Day Stand was meant to: encourage students who use tobacco to quit for the day, with an aim to quit for good; get students’ opinions towards tobacco use on campus; raise awareness of the benefits of tobacco-free campus policies; and promote the adoption of permanent tobacco-free policies.
