Greece Griffin Warrior

Ancient sites are often active archaeological sites in addition to tourist hotspots. Students visited the Palace of Nestor at Pylos, one of the best preserved Bronze Age palaces on the Greek mainland. In 2015, an undisturbed Bronze Age burial of a Mycenaean warrior was discovered here. Nicknamed the Griffin Warrior, the burial yielded 1,500 or more objects, including gold rings and bronze weapons.
