Master of Arts in Applied Disability Studies thesis defence*  

Charles Haugh, a Master of Arts in Applied Disability Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “Analyzing the Service Cliff from IEP to Adulthood: A Comparative Policy Analysis of Federal Policies Regarding Transitioning to Adulthood in Canada and the United States” on Monday, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. to noon in PLZ 600F.

Master of Arts in Child and Youth Studies thesis defence    

Kylie Dennis, a Master of Arts in Child and Youth Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “Play Through a Carnivalesque Lens: Preschoolers’ Official and Unofficial Lives” on Monday, Sept. 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. in PLZ 600F.

Master of Science in Biological Sciences thesis defence

Nicholas Mackie, a Master of Science in Biological Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Effect of Pruning and Shoot Thinning on the Physiology and Cost of Production of Pinot noir in Ontario, Canada” on Tuesday, Sept. 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in PLZ 600F.

Master of Arts in Critical Sociology thesis defence   

Benjamin Adu-Donkoh, a Master of Arts in Critical Sociology candidate, will defend the thesis “Workplace Disability Inclusion in Higher Education: A Comparative Analysis of Ashanti Technical University (Ghana) and Northern Lakes University (Canada)” on Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to noon in PLZ 600F.

Omar Shahin, a Master of Arts in Critical Sociology candidate, will defend the thesis “Navigating Orientalism: Life as a Palestinian Canadian After October 7, 2023” on Friday, Sept. 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. in PLZ 600F.

Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences (Kinesiology) thesis defences

Jess Malcolm, a Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Does psychological need fulfillment predict youth-to-young-adult athlete persistence in girls’ and women’s team-based sports?” on Friday, Sept. 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in STH 361.
