Brock faculty and staff have now raised more than $3 million to support those in need across Niagara through the University’s annual United Way campaigns, which began in 2003.
Helping the University reach the $3-million mark was almost $150,000 raised during the 2025-26 campaign. Every dollar given by Brock employees supports more than 90 life-changing programs and initiatives funded by United Way Golden Horseshoe in Niagara that address issues such as poverty, addiction, food insecurity, homelessness, mental health and gender-based violence.
“We know that many people in our community will need help from a United Way-funded program or initiative during their lifetimes. Supporting the Brock United Way campaign as a donor or volunteer is one way to ensure our neighbours can get the help they need when they need it,” said Brock United Way Campaign Committee Chair Jenna Moorhead, Community Experience Co-ordinator with Student Life and Success.
While United Way Niagara merged with Brant United Way, United Way Haldimand and Norfolk, and United Way Halton and Hamilton earlier this year, Brock’s contributions will continue to have an impact in Niagara as dollars raised will remain local or as directed by the donor.
With the 2025 employee fundraising campaign wrapped up, Brock’s United Way committee is looking ahead to next year’s campaign, which will kick off in the fall.
