Watch: Community Information Session

Brock Provost and Vice-President, Academic Arja Vainio-Mattila led an information session this past Thursday that provided details on the University’s plans for a sustainable future.

Held in the Sean O’Sullivan Theatre, the session provided insight on the government’s funding model — including the impact of Ontario’s recent investment in the sector — as well as Brock’s progress towards its academic goals, the University’s overall financial sustainability strategy and its academic priorities and opportunities. Presenters also included Anna Lathrop, Special Advisor to the Provost, and Josh Tonnos, Chief Financial Officer and Associate Vice-President, Financial Services.

“Building a sustainable future for Brock has been challenging amid the financial pressures across the post-secondary sector, and with the recent investment from the Province, the terrain has improved considerably,” said Vainio-Mattila.  “Where we go next will be guided by our Strategic Plan and the University Action Plan, and it is important that we make the most of this moment, together, as we build a sustainable future for Brock.”

Follow-up questions to the information session may be submitted to [email protected] by Friday, April 24 at 5 p.m.

The full session can be viewed on SharePoint.
