Campus road closures planned for children’s water festival

Brock University will welcome Grade 4 students from across the region next week for the Niagara Children’s Water Festival.

The festival — which will be hosted at Brock’s main campus from Tuesday, April 28 to Friday, May 1 — offers students hands-on opportunities to learn about water conservation and environmental stewardship.

The Brock community is advised of the following road and parking lot closures during the event:

  • A section of University Road West and Village Road will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to all traffic except permit holders, contractors, accessible vehicles, emergency vehicles and Brock maintenance staff in marked vehicles
  • Village Road will be closed daily from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
  • Lot P and Lot 3 Overnight West (formerly 3A) will be closed from Thursday, April 23 to Friday, May 1.

Alternative parking is available for the Brock community during the event. Permit holders impacted by closures will receive an email with directions, and non-permit holders can use alternative paid parking lots found in HONK Mobile.

Vehicles will be allowed to enter closed areas in emergency situations or to use accessible spaces.

The west side of campus will still be accessible to foot traffic, and access to and from the east side of campus will remain uninterrupted throughout the event.
