Nominations open for PACHRED membership

The President’s Advisory Committee on Human Rights, Equity and Decolonization (PACHRED) is now accepting nominations for new members for the 2026-27 academic year.

Brock University students, staff and faculty are invited to submit nominations. In addition to general membership, nominations are being sought for the committee’s staff and faculty co-chairs.

Nominees should have a demonstrated commitment to equity, access and inclusion for equity deserving groups. This includes areas such as:

  • Social justice
  • Human rights
  • Decolonization
  • Labour and employment matters
  • Educational equity
  • Inclusive pedagogy
  • Emancipatory approaches to research and knowledge building
  • Previous experience working on related University committees and student club

Lived experience is also an asset.

Faculty and staff co-chair nominees will also:

  • Be a current or previous member of PACHRED (or having strong knowledge of PACHRED and its committees)
  • Have a proven ability to lead and facilitate meetings, with a focus on guiding team decision-making
  • Be able to set and plan strategic priorities
  • Demonstrate commitment to human rights, equity and decolonization.

Applications for general membership and co-chairs are due by Tuesday, March 31 by 11:59 p.m. and can be submitted through the PACHRED website.
