Thesis defences — Oct. 14 to Oct. 17

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Tuesday, Oct. 14 and Friday, Oct. 17.

Master of Science in Computer Science thesis defence    

Maryam Ghanbari, a Master of Science in Computer Science candidate, will defend the thesis “Atomic Knowledge Effects: A Systematic Study of Knowledge Integration in Commonsense QA” on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 10 a.m. in virtual format.

The examination committee includes Ke Qiu, Chair; Renata Dividino, Supervisor; Robson de Grande, External Examiner; and Sheridan Houghten, Committee Member.

Master of Science in Computer Science thesis defence    

Nadia Karimzadeh, a Master of Science in Computer Science candidate, will defend the thesis “Scalable and Reliable GNN-based Network Traffic Management in Software-Defined Vehicular Networks” on Friday, Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. in virtual format.

The examination committee includes Ke Qiu, Chair; Robson de Grande, Supervisor; Naser Ezzati-Jivan, External Examiner; and Renata Dividino, Committee Member.
