Professional leadership training available for employees

Brock University is providing employees with structured pathways for professional advancement through its leadership development programs.

Applications are open until Thursday, Feb. 6, for two signature programs: Emerging Leaders and Leading at Brock.

The Emerging Leaders program helps staff and faculty identify their leadership potential by enhancing communication, conflict resolution, and equity, diversity and inclusion skills. Participants also develop personalized plans to foster belonging and collaboration within their teams.

The Leading at Brock program supports employees already in management roles, focusing on strategic thinking, emotional intelligence and coaching skills. Participants learn to align team performance with institutional goals while promoting an inclusive workplace culture.

“Leadership is about unlocking your potential, embracing your unique strengths and empowering others to thrive,” said Learning and Development Specialist Samantha Vandermolen. “These programs provide participants with the tools to build stronger teams, drive meaningful change and make a lasting impact at Brock and beyond.”
