Thesis defences — Oct. 7 to Oct. 11

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, Oct. 7 and Friday, Oct. 11.

Master of ​Arts in Applied Health Sciences (Sport Management) thesis defence

Kiana Kohandel, a Master of ​Arts in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “The experience of Iranian women inter-university athletes with a focus on gender in sport” on Monday, Oct. 7 from 1 to 4 p.m. in WC 204.

The examination committee includes Lisa Kikulis, Chair; Maureen Connolly, Supervisor; Leanne Taylor, External Examiner (Brock University); and Shannon Kerwin and Dawn Trussell, Committee Members.

Master of Science in Computer Science thesis defence 

Farhana Yasmeen, a Master of Science in Computer Science candidate, will defend the thesis “Emerging Variants and Fading Immunity: Analyzing the Impact in Epidemic Modeling” on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 9:30 a.m. in PLZ 600F.

The examination committee includes Melanie Pilkington, Chair; Sheridan Houghten, Supervisor; Brian Ross, External Examiner (Brock University); and Robson De Grande and Renata Queiroz Dividino, Committee Members.

Master of Science in Chemistry thesis defence 

Sahar Majidinezhad, a Master of Science in Chemistry candidate, will defend the thesis “Exploring the Coordination Chemistry of Hydroxy Alkyl Pyridine and Pyrazine Ligands in 3d Cluster Chemistry” on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 1 p.m. in PLZ 600F.
