Nominations open for Distinguished Staff Service Awards

Brock’s dedicated employees play a critical role in supporting student success while making the University one of Canada’s top employers and an integral part of the Niagara community.

In recognition of exceptional employee contributions to the learning and working environment at Brock, the Office of People and Culture accepts nominations each year for three staff service awards.

The deadline for the 2024 Distinguished Staff Service Awards is 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28. Nominations can be submitted to recognition@brocku.ca

Brock’s Distinguished Staff Service Awards include:

  • The President’s Distinguished Staff Service Award for Outstanding Contributions, which is open to active, ongoing staff members, excluding those reporting directly to the President or a Vice-President, with at least 12 months of service. This award recognizes those who consistently provide outstanding contributions to the working environment at Brock and significantly exceed normal expectations.
  • The People and Culture Distinguished Award for Leadership, which is open to active, ongoing staff members with a minimum of 12 months of service. This award honours individuals who demonstrate proven leadership and collaborative skills. Nominees should have a record of fostering a respectful work and learning environment while building strong relationships that support the University’s strategic initiatives.
  • The Brock University Outstanding Team Service Award, which is open to all staff teams who have made outstanding contributions throughout the year. Eligible teams must demonstrate exceptional service to staff, faculty, students, alumni, donors or visitors or contribute to measures that enhance the effectiveness of University operations and positively impact the Brock community.
