The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, July 29 and Friday, Aug. 2.

Master of ​ Science in Applied Health Sciences (Kinesiology) thesis defence

Tamar Kritzer, a Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Longitudinal Effects of Sex-Based Shoe Design on the Biomechanics of Basketball Specific Movements” on Tuesday, July 30 from 9 a.m. to noon in WC 204.

Master of ​Science in Applied Health Sciences (Health Sciences) thesis defence

Matteo Nadile, a Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Investigating the effects of the polyphenol, carnosic acid in prostate cancer” on Tuesday, July 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in STH 361.

Master of ​ Arts in Applied Health Sciences (Leisure Studies) thesis defence

Vivien Ugwu, a Master of ​Arts in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “The Acculturation Experiences of Newcomer Healthcare Workers in Rural Canada: A Case Study” on Tuesday, July 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in STH 452.

Master of Arts in Applied Disability Studies thesis defence      

Kayla Cormier, a Master of Arts in Applied Disability Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “Investigating the Relationship Between Self-Confidence and Burnout for Professionals Supporting Adults with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities Engaging in Challenging Behaviour” on Thursday, Aug. 1 from 2 to 4 p.m. in TH 150.

Master of Science in Biological Sciences thesis defence

Fardad Pirri, a Master of Science in Biological Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Regulation of social behaviour via oxytocin receptor signaling in the caudodorsal lateral septum in Long-Evans male and female rats ” on Friday, Aug. 2 at noon in PLZ 600F.
