Gala to celebrate all-star graduate students

The Brock University Graduate Students’ Association (GSA) is hosting its annual Starlight Gala on Saturday, April 6 to celebrate and honour outstanding graduate students.

The sixth annual Starlight Gala, the GSA’s signature event, consists of a cocktail hour followed by dinner, awards presentation and dancing at Club Roma in St. Catharines.

The awards ceremony will recognize graduate students who have shown academic excellence as well as outstanding service and commitment in mentorship, volunteering and community engagement. The event will also include the presentation of a teaching assistant of the year award.

GSA President Rakha Zabin says that celebration is a meaningful recognition of Brock graduate students’ hard work, dedication and academic achievements.

“Our graduate students pour countless hours into their research, projects, service and studies, often facing challenges and overcoming obstacles along the way. The gala provides a well-deserved moment to shine a spotlight on students’ commitment and the incredible contributions they have made to our university and graduate community.”

Tickets for graduate students and alumni are $38 while guest tickets are $42. Students and their guests can purchase tickets until Friday, March 22 at 4 p.m. on the GSA website.

Questions regarding the event, including about tickets, can be emailed to office@brockgsa.ca
