Adventure awaits at Brock Recreation summer camps

Brock Recreation is gearing up to offer young adventurers an unforgettable summer experience with the opening of registration for its popular summer camps.

Registration through the online portal opens on Friday, March 1 at noon.

Open to youth from Grades 1 to 8 as well as high school students, the camps offer a range of programs focused on explore science, arts, sports, outdoor adventures, technology and more.

“Camp is where friendships are made and learning becomes an experience,” said Program Manager Shannon McCormick. “Campers engage with supportive staff and interactive activities as we provide the opportunity for them to discover new ideas in an enjoyable environment.”

The camps take place Monday through Friday (or Tuesday through Friday during holiday weeks) from Tuesday, July 2 to Friday, August 30.

Daily programming runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with complimentary drop-off and pick-up periods from 8:30 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 4:30 p.m. Extended care options are available, starting from 7:30 a.m. and concluding at 5:30 p.m.

Options include:

  • Youth University: This program offers a creative environment for exploring innovation and outdoor education across various areas.
  • Sports School, Aquatics and Fitness Camps: Campers engage in activities to stay active, using gyms, fields, Brock’s aquatics centre and creative fitness camps.
  • Badgers Sport Camps: Specializing in specific sports and skill development, this option allows campers to learn from Brock’s varsity student-athletes and coaches.
