BUSU offers free tax clinic for students

The Brock University Students’ Union (BUSU) free tax clinic is now taking appointments for Brock students to register and file their 2023 taxes.

“Tax time can be a stressful time for students,” said Carleigh Charlton, BUSU’s Vice President, University Affairs. “BUSU’s free tax clinic is a great way for students to get their taxes done properly, with ease, by a registered tax expert.”

Virtual appointments will be available with a registered volunteer on Saturdays and Sundays throughout February and March.

Students participating in the free tax clinic will need the following documents:

  • Social insurance number
  • Government-issued identification
  • T2202A or T2202 – Tuition and Enrolment Certificate, issued by Brock University
  • Rent payment receipts, issued by landlords or tenant management teams
  • T4 or T4a slips

Appointment requests can be made directly on the BUSU website and appointment times will be arranged with the clinic volunteers via email.
