New report discusses equity, diversity and inclusion at Brock

A new report is exploring how Faculties and other units at Brock are following up on recommendations to enhance equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) at the University.

Commissioned by the President’s Advisory Committee on Human Rights, Equity and Decolonization (PACHRED), the study was co-authored by Professor of Educational Studies Dolana Mogadime and former Brock Instructor William Ankomah (MA ’16, PhD ’22).

In its findings, the 51-page Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at Brock University report offers a range of recommendations to enhance training, dialogue and collaboration.

Participants in the study painted a vision for Brock’s future where EDI is seamlessly integrated into every facet of the institution. They underscored the importance of continuous engagement in EDI initiatives, suggesting that while the University is on the right path, it must remain committed to ongoing reflection, adaptation and growth in this domain.

Along with being submitted to Brock President and Vice-Chancellor Lesley Rigg, the report is also available to the entire Brock community on the PACHRED website.
