International researchers to speak on sustainable innovation in business environments

French scholars Nicholas Paparoidamis and Kate Robinson will discuss the importance of sustainable innovation for firms during the next Goodman Luncheon Speakers Series event on Friday, Oct. 20.

Nicholas Paparoidamis is a Professor of Marketing and Associate Dean of Faculty, Research and Pedagogy at the Burgundy School of Business.

Sustainable innovation, a two-dimensional concept encompassing sustainability orientation and firm innovation, is on the rise because of growing global environmental consciousness.

The talk will focus on sustainable innovation’s drivers, outcomes and boundary conditions while emphasizing the need for businesses to integrate environmental and social responsibility into their innovation practices.

Paparoidamis is a Professor of Marketing and Associate Dean for Faculty, Research and Pedagogy at the Burgundy School of Business (BSB) in France. He is an elected member of the Board of Governors at the Academy of Marketing Science and serves as a member of the editorial review board of Industrial Marketing Management.

Paparoidamis’ research has been published in top Academic journals such as the Journal of Product Innovation Management, International Journal of Production Economics.

Kate Robinson is Assistant Professor of Marketing and the Director of the Business Development and Sales Management Master of Science program at EDC Paris Business School.

He has a vast background in both academia and marketing having served as the Dean of Research at Leonardo de Vinci Business School and Director of Research and Head of Marketing in business schools throughout France. His marketing expertise extends to consultancy, marketing specialization and managerial roles, where he advised numerous firms in Greece and France.

Robinson is an Assistant Professor of Marketing and the Director of the Business Development and Sales Management Master of Science program at EDC Paris Business School in France. She has extensive experience in industry and higher education, holding degrees in European Management and International Management from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom and ESC in France. Robinson is in the final stages of completing her PhD in Marketing and has published in the Journal of Business Research.

The Luncheon Speaker Series provides Goodman faculty, staff and students with an informal opportunity to discuss recent advances in research, teaching and practices with business colleagues. The talk will run from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Sankey Chamber.
