International cuisines will collide on Brock graduate students’ plates at the upcoming Sample the World Food Fest hosted by the Graduate Students’ Association (GSA) and the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (FGSPA).
Held during the GSA Annual Cultural Integration Week, the free event offers students a chance to enjoy samples of food from around the world at noon on Friday, Oct. 27 at Pond Inlet. The event runs as long as supplies last.
The menu was created by Brock Dining Services with help from responses on a FGSPA and GSA survey asking graduate students to share their favourite international foods or the dishes they missed most from their home countries.
The sample menu includes traditional dishes from around the globe such as:
- Kashmiri tea
- Vietnamese pho
- Bhaji fritter with cucumber riata
- Mediterranean chicken shish tawook skewers
- Caribbean curried coconut and chickpea stew
- Tacos
- Chicken schnitzel with apple slaw
- Beaver Tails
Brock graduate students are encouraged to RSVP on ExperienceBU as soon as possible as spaces at the event are limited.
Organized by the GSA and campus partners, Cultural Integration Week aims to celebrate the variety of cultures and heritages of Brock grad students.
