Brock to lift masking requirement for instructional spaces effective April 24

When Spring Term gets underway, masks will no longer be required in Brock University’s instructional spaces.

The University is lifting its masking requirement, effective Monday, April 24. Members of the Brock community will no longer be required to wear masks in classrooms, lecture halls, seminars and teaching labs, as well as other spaces when instruction or examination is taking place.

The use of masks continues to be strongly recommended everywhere on campus, especially when maintaining distance from others is not possible.

Members of the Brock community and visitors are asked to remain vigilant and to self-monitor closely for symptoms of COVID-19 and other respiratory infections. If you are feeling unwell, experiencing symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19, do not come to campus. Please follow the self-isolation guidance provided by Niagara Region Public Health.

Brock has been a leader in Ontario’s post-secondary sector with respect to its public health guidelines and will continue to monitor public health developments.
