Graduate students enjoy holiday gathering

A digital fire was roaring, holiday tunes were playing and spirits were brightened at the Graduate Students’ Association (GSA) Holiday Social in Pond Inlet Tuesday, Dec. 13.

Master of Business Administration students Isha Kulkarni, Shiva Krishna Sridharala Sanyasaiah and Nisha Khatri were three of more than 100 graduate students who enjoyed one of many festive activities hosted by the GSA and the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS).

“This event was a true display of community and connection, and the attendance warmed our hearts,” says GSA President Haley Myatt. “Building community is an ongoing focus for the GSA, with this gathering a wholesome example of those efforts. We look forward to offering more events like this in the new year!”

Holiday activities on offer included:
• Coffee and hot chocolate drop-in
• Ornament painting
• Card design and cookie decorating
• Holiday movie and pizza party

The holiday cards made during the event were donated to a local retirement home to spread holiday joy in the community.
