Thesis defences June 6 to June 10

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, June 6 and Friday, June 10.

PhD in Psychology thesis defences

Breanne Wylie, a PhD in Psychology candidate, will defend the thesis “Children’s Developing Use and Understanding of Coercive Language: Applications in a Legal Setting” on Tuesday, June 7 from 2 to 5 p.m. in PLZ 600F.

The examination committee members are Brian Roy, Chair; Angela Evans, Supervisor; Deirdre Brown, External Examiner (Victoria University of Wellington); Heather Ramey, Internal Examiner; and Teena Willoughby and Catherine Mondloch, Advisory Committee.

Taylor Heffer, a PhD in Psychology candidate, will defend the thesis “The development of sensitivity to threat among children and adolescents” on Wednesday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in PLZ 600F.

The examination committee members are Brian Roy, Chair; Teena Willoughby, Supervisor; Heather Henderson, External Examiner (University of Waterloo); John McNamara, Internal Examiner; and Angela Evans and Chloe Hamza (University of Toronto), Advisory Committee.

Alison O’Connor, a PhD in Psychology candidate, will defend the thesis “Do we become more honest as we age? A Multi-methodological approach to studying dishonesty across adulthood” on Friday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in PLZ 600F.
