Brock community mourns the loss of Business Administration student

The Brock University community is mourning the death of third-year student Jaden Stewart Lewis, who passed away Thursday, May 5.

A Business Administration (Accounting) student in Brock’s Goodman School of Business, Lewis was known for dutifully working towards his degree, and for his bravery and resilience facing the challenges that accompanied his sickle cell anemia diagnosis.

A funeral service is planned for Saturday, May 21 at 10 a.m. at Rhema Christian Ministries, 40 Carl Hall Rd., Unit 49, in Toronto. Additional details are available on the New Haven Funeral Centre website.

The flags at Brock University will be lowered to half-mast on the day of the service in Lewis’ honour.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lewis’ memory to the Sickle Cell Association of Ontario or to Toronto’s SickKids Hospital.

Brock employees and students are invited to leave a message of condolence to the family through an online memorial.
