The Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP), a third-party vendor that provides long-term disability insurance for some Brock employees, has confirmed that an earlier cyber incident did not affect any Brock information.

The University was notified by OTIP about the incident in December 2021. Out of an abundance of caution, the University had notified the University community regarding the potential breach. Following a thorough investigation, OTIP has now confirmed that no Brock employee information was affected.

OTIP confirmed that it has since implemented numerous measures and controls to further increase the fortification of its IT infrastructure.
