Brock University’s Schmon Tower will be lit in orange Tuesday, March 1 for Kidney Cancer Awareness Month. The tower will be illuminated in other colours throughout March to mark several occasions. With Brock students, staff and faculty now back on campus, the University has resumed the illumination of Schmon Tower in an array of colours to mark several occasions taking place each month.
Events in March include:
- Tuesday, March 1, orange for Kidney Cancer Awareness Month
- Tuesday, March 8, pink for International Women’s Day
- Thursday, March 10, green for World Kidney Day
- Saturday, March 26, green for Earth Hour
- Thursday, March 31, baby blue, pink and white for Trans Day of Visibility
The tower is lit externally with 48 powerful LED lights, which offer a full rainbow of colour options.
Members of the community can request the tower be illuminated in a particular colour for holidays and non-commercial special events.
