The undefeated Badgers (10-0) jumped past Saskatchewan to claim the No. 1 ranking in the U SPORTS Weekly Top 10. It’s the first time in history Brock has held the top spot in Canada.
In other sports, the women’s volleyball team moved up to No. 3 while the men’s basketball team climbed to No. 4. The men’s volleyball team dropped to No. 9.
Last week, the Brock women’s basketball team defeated the McMaster Marauders in a home-and-home series by scores of 67-54 and 72-53.
Senior forward Samantha Keltos scored a total of 41 points in two games and currently leads Ontario University Athletics (OUA) in three-point shooting (47.7 per cent).
The Brock women’s and men’s basketball teams are hosting the University of Waterloo Warriors Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., respectively.
