Reminder: Virtual staff service awards event happening Wednesday

Brock University will honour several of its staff members this week at an online recognition event.

The Distinguished Staff Service Awards will be livestreamed via Lifesize on Wednesday, Jan. 26 beginning at 2:30 p.m. All Brock staff, faculty and librarians are invited to attend.

Interim President and Vice-Chancellor Lynn Wells will open the celebration, followed by the presentation of staff service awards to employees who have reached 25- and 35-year service milestones.

Several employees will also be honoured for their leadership and contributions to the University. Four recipients of the President’s Distinguished Staff Service Award for Outstanding Contributions will be announced as well as the recipient of the Human Resources Distinguished Staff Service Award for Leadership.

The event will conclude with the presentation of the inaugural Outstanding Team Service Award, which will be granted this year to two deserving teams.

The new award was created by the Office of the President and Vice-Chancellor to annually recognize a team of faculty and/or staff members for their outstanding contributions throughout the year beyond what is normally expected.

To attend the celebration, join the Lifesize livestream.
