The following is a list of thesis defences taking place from Monday, Nov. 8 to Friday, Nov. 12.

Master of Science in Computer Science thesis defences

Pawel Jocko, a Master of Science in Computer Science candidate, will defend his thesis “Multi-Guide Particle Swarm Optimisation for Dynamic Multi-objective Optimisation Problems” on Monday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. in virtual format.

Tyler Cowan, a Master of Science in Computer Science candidate, will defend his thesis “Strategies for Evolving Diverse and Effective Behaviours in Pursuit Domains” on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. in virtual format.

Master of Science in Management (Marketing Stream) thesis defence 

Xinyue Wang, a Master of Science in Management candidate, will defend her thesis “The Effect of Perceived Deception on Consumer Repurchase Intention” on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 3 p.m. in virtual format.

Master of Science in Management (Marketing Stream) thesis defence 

Cem Selcuk, a Master of Science in Management candidate, will defend his thesis “A Study on Immersion and Emotions’ Influence on Impulse Buying in Virtual Environments” on Friday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. in virtual format.

Master of Science in Biological Sciences thesis defence

Robert Martin, a Master of Science in Biological Sciences candidate, will defend his thesis “The development of a new genetic test for grapevine cultivars using a computational genomics approach” on Friday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. in virtual format.

Ahmadreza R. Movarekh, a Master of Science in Management candidate, will defend his thesis “How Virtual Reality Leads to Positive Responses to Persuasion Attempts: The Implication of VR Brand Placement” on Friday, Nov. 12 at noon in virtual format.
