As Brock approaches the halfway mark of its Institutional Strategic Plan, the University is launching a process to create an academic plan for the period from 2022 to 2027.
It’s an opportunity for all members of the Brock community to reflect on and help map out the future of the University’s activities as they relate to the strategic priority of offering a transformational and accessible academic experience.
The goal of the plan is to help further meet the needs of students. This is particularly important as the University emerges from a pandemic, which has prompted the institution to innovate and reflect on how best to support students’ academic and university experience moving forward.
The academic plan will support the overarching vision of Brock as a dynamic, comprehensive university that makes a positive difference in the lives of individuals.
Importantly, the plan will also extend beyond the end of the current strategic plan in 2025, laying the groundwork for any future strategic planning exercise.
The academic plan is being developed in collaboration with the Planning, Priorities and Budget Advisory Committee (PPBAC) of Senate. A summary of the project vision shared with that committee, including links to recent academic plans at universities in Ontario and Canada, can be found here.
To launch the consultation, a short survey has been developed to inform the development of the academic plan.
This survey is open to all members of the Brock community, including students, faculty members, librarians, part-time instructors and staff. It should take about 10 minutes to complete and can be found here.
The responses will be gathered through Qualtrics and stored securely, accessible only to the two project leads and a project assistant who will assist in analyzing the information. All responses are anonymous, and names will not be associated with any responses.
The voices of the Brock community are important to this process. Please take the time to contribute to this important project.
