Staff resources created to aid with return to campus

As many Brock staff members prepare to return to campus for the first time since March 2020, the University has created a helpful document to aid with the process.

Available on Brock’s coronavirus website, the Fall Planning: Return to Campus bulletin is filled with information and resources that address many of the common questions staff may have, while also outlining various campus restrictions and requirements.

The comprehensive document includes details on masking requirements, including the use of masks in office spaces. While masks must be worn indoors on campus and are recommended outdoors when physical distancing is not possible, faculty and staff may remove their masks in their designated workspace in areas not open to the public and while maintaining at least two metres of distance from all other individuals.

The bulletin explains scenarios in which masks must be worn and provides information about enforcement and exemptions.

The COVID-19 self-screening process, required of staff, faculty members and students attending campus, is also outlined in the document. Brock employees are required to forward their screening results to their supervisor each day prior to coming on campus or participating in work in the community. Faculty members are to forward their results to their respective department chair.

The bulletin also shares information on Brock’s cleaning and disinfection practices, what to do if you’re feeling unwell and responding to challenges employees may be facing. A chart is also included to help departments document their return to campus plans, with sections to track various mitigation measures that are in place.
